I have some updates to share.
First off, the option to purchase Year One of Unnerving has now changed. Readers can now purchase a one-year subscription, starting with the most recently published issue.
The reason I did not offer subscriptions in the first place was that I knew, even if Unnerving was a complete failure, I was going to push through four issues. So far, Unnerving is doing fine and I have my mind set on holding course through 2018. Much of this is thanks to the advertisers, so if you’re a subscriber/reader of Unnerving, consider checking out the goodies available from the folks on the Friends of Unnerving page. If you’re a subscriber or a patron of Amazon, thank you.
Next is an update on the on the chapbooks. Looks like it’s all pretty much on schedule, the manufacture of two of the books is complete. Very much looks like The estimated shipping date will hold true.

The last thing is a point I’d hoped to avoid. In December, Unnerving will be releasing a small anthology titled Hardened Hearts. Most of the collection is either set or on its way to being set, however, I need somewhere in the range of another 10,000 words. I wanted this to be an invite-only project, but I’ve run out of people to ask (it can be tough knowing who is willing to write for what beforehand).
So here are the details:
Stories must revolve around difficult love.
Seeking stories between of 600 and 3,500 words.
Pay is 1¢/word.
Submissions will open June 10 and close whenever I’ve found what I seek.
Submittable is the only way to submit to Unnerving, I don’t want a bunch of emails.
Issue #4 submissions will open June 16, only stories of up 2,500 words will be considered and the preference will lean toward Halloween themes and classic monster themes. Also, Submittable only.
FYI, clicking Submittable prior to opening date will not get your very far.
That’s all for now.
